Gerald M. Shapiro is co-founder of Logs Network and currently serves as the Chairman.   Under his guidance and leadership, the company has, over the past 40 years, developed into a preeminent network of law firms providing national representation of mortgage lenders, servicers and investors.

Early in his career Mr. Shapiro introduced a multi-state network of title companies and law firms, connecting them via a proprietary web-hosted software system.  His vision conceived the field counsel industry as it exists today.

Through his initiatives, Mr. Shapiro led those serving the residential mortgage default servicing industry by creating the “cradle- to- grave” concept.  He achieved this through business developments and acquisitions in title, closing, foreclosures, REO and outsourcing businesses.

Mr. Shapiro began his legal career in the tax department of Arthur Young in Chicago before entering private practice in 1971.  His memberships include the American Bar Association, Illinois State Bar Association and the Florida Bar Association.  Mr. Shapiro is also an active member of the Mortgage Bankers Association of America and the majority of state Mortgage Bankers Associations.  He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Northwestern University and a law degree from DePaul University School of Law.

Together with Olivia, his wife of over 50 years, Mr. Shapiro is the head of The Shapiro Family Foundation.  The foundation provides funds for special needs children and adults, helping to provide them with a better life. In addition, the foundation assists veterans in their rehabilitation and recovery, as well as many other charities in order to create the most effective positive impact.
